Equipment, destination and a good start

The ski rental guide: from search to return

A clear rental checklist: choose the resort, compare equipment, confirm the shop, save documents, collect and return your kit.

Choose the exact destination first

Begin with the address of your accommodation and the village or sector named in your travel plans. A large ski area can contain separate valleys and collection points. Check the map and the final shop address instead of choosing by the broad ski-area name alone.

Make one consistent equipment checklist

  • Rental dates and the intended collection and return days.
  • Each rider’s equipment type, experience and relevant size details.
  • Boots and helmet required or already owned.
  • A shop compatible with your arrival and accommodation.
  • Clear total, terms and any deposit or identification requirements.

After booking and at collection

Save the confirmation and collection instructions offline. Check whether you need to show a voucher, booking reference or identification to the shop. The format and number of documents vary, so do not assume every booking produces the same two vouchers.

Allow time for fitting, explain any discomfort and confirm where and when to return the equipment. Keep the shop’s contact details so you can ask about exchanges or a change to the rental period rather than making assumptions.

Keep travel and rental checks separate

A rental confirmation does not replace accommodation registration, travel documents or a transfer booking. Check the travel guide for the country of your accommodation, then use the local official links for tourist taxes and check-in requirements.
